I built this modular personal computer (PC) to prove a concept: that sustainable product design can deliver the same consumer benefits as the industry standard.
Ignoring aesthetics, I designed a prototype that cuts to the core problem in consumer electronic waste: obsolescence, and built a PC that can be infinitely upgraded by the user without tools or technical no-how.
In addition, my prototype idles at 27W, a savings of 80% above the industry average, despite running Windows Vista (at the time) the latest release.
